Lived Experience Australia advocates for people with a mental illness and their families and carers to make positive changes in mental health policy, planning and decision making at local, state and National levels to create a better mental health system. We formed in 2002 and were previously known as the Private Mental Health Consumer Carer Network (Australia). Lived Experience Australia was established to promote the interests of members of the community requiring private mental health services.
