Link Vision Ltd (formerly Aid for the Blind, Qld) has operated since 1968 and is a charity which provides services for those with Low or No Vision. Services include: 1. Provision of supported low cost accommodation to our residents 2. Provision of vision-specific computer training at no cost to students Link Visions goal is to assist residents and students to lead independent lives, engage in meaningful work and be an integral part of mainstream society. We are a self-funded not-for-profit organisation which relies heavily on funds generated from six Op Shops in South East Queensland and donations from generous organisations and individuals in order to continue and expand our work. We manage and maintain 40 independent living units in Fairfield Brisbane. Our in-school mentoring program aids students with Low or No Vision to become familiar with, and master keyboard skills.
