Laurier Moot Court

Laurier Moot Court (LMC) began in 2016. Its purpose is to develop members research, writing, and oral advocacy skills by competing in national undergraduate moot court competitions. LMCs prominence in the Canadian mooting scene grows each year. In 2020, LMC won its first mooting championship at the McGill Cup. In 2021, LMC repeated as champions and began a streak of increasing success, culminating in LMCs first-ever championship at the Osgoode Cup, Canadas largest and longest-running undergraduate moot competition, in March 2024. LMC enters the 2024/2025 season as defending national champions. Additionally, LMC hosts its annual Hawks Cup Tournament the second weekend of each November. Starting in 2020, Hawks Cup has grown into Canadas largest undergraduate mooting competition in the fall term and second largest overall.
