La Toscanini

The Filarmonica Arturo Toscanini, today considered one of the most important symphony orchestras in Italy, was founded in Parma in 2002 as a continuation of the historical experience of the Orchestra dellEmilia-Romagna Arturo Toscanini. It has been conducted under many distinguished batons such as: Lorin Maazel, Georges Pretre, Yuri Temirkanov, Mstislav Rostropovich, Kurt Masur, Zubin Mehta, Maxim Vengerov, Krystian Zimerman, Ton Koopman. Among the artists of this Season: Daniele Gatti, Fabio Luisi, Emmanuel Pahud and Ray Chen. Currently Alpesh Chauhan is the Principal Conductor.
