Established in 1937, La Consolacion University Philippines(LCUP) is a private, Catholic school owned and managed by the Augustinian Sisters of Our Lady of Consolation. LCUPs college campus sits beside Barasoain Church, dubbed as the Cradle of Democracy in the East, the church was the venue of the 1898 Malolos Congress which drafted the first Philippine Constitution, also the first democratic constitution in Asia.
