KurdSat Broadcasting Corporation KurdSat Broadcasting Corporation (KBC) is one of the regions major Kurdish media outlets consisting of two television channels, two radio stations, several websites and digital platforms. The KBC is based in Sulaymaniyah, Kurdistan region of Iraq. The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) funds the KBC. Former First Lady of Iraq Hero Ibrahim Ahmed founded the KBC in 2000. Kurdsat began its journey on January 1, 2000, with one channel broadcasting for only three hours. Today, the KBC continues working as the number one family-oriented media and remains the most watched, credible and respected media in the region. Kurdsat has the regions largest office, including several studios and a vast set area to produce the most compelling premium content for television.
