Kids Helping Kids Sacramento

Created in 2012 by AP Government students who wanted to raise money for a homeless classmate, Kids Helping Kids Sacramento has evolved into an award winning nonprofit handling hundreds of thousands of dollars out of Del Campo High School. Since its founding, student volunteers in Kids Helping Kids have run the organization for one reason: learning is best by doing, and doing is best by serving others. We raise money for families with pediatric cancer, foster-care and homeless youth, underprivileged elementary school students, and impoverished children across the world. To do that, students learn to manage operations, finances, fundraising, productions, outreach, and marketing in a year-long class that gives them the space to plan their events. Both the Annual Signature Gala, and the College Bound Classic golf tournament, have raised tens of thousands of dollars for children in need.
