National Company KazMunaiGas is Kazakhstans national operator for exploration, production, refining and transportation of hydrocarbons, representing the state in Kazakhstans petroleum sector. KMGs founding party is the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan represented by the State Property and Privatization Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan. KMGs shareholders are the Fund (90%) and the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan (10% + 1 share). Kazakhstan ranks 12th worldwide among the holders of proven oil and gas condensate reserves, 22th - in terms of natural gas reserves, and 17th - for oil and gas production.
