Jotun Americas

Jotun is one of the worlds leading manufacturers of paints, coatings and powder coatings. Jotun was founded in Norway in 1926, and after great domestic success, an international expansion started in 1962 which has since taken Jotun all around the world. Our operations in the USA started in the 1960s with licenced production with Baltimore Copper Paints Co (BCP). This factory was closed down in 1984 and Jotun and Valspar then started a joint venture in 1986. Valspar withdrew in the end of the 1990s and Jotun bought a factory in Belle Chase, New Orleans in 2000. A new factory opened in Belle Chase in 2013. Today, Jotun operates in both the Marine and Protective coatings segments, and has offices in Houston, and Fort Lauderdale, employing more than 50 people.
