JAMaROO Kids

In 2001, Jamaica Stevens, Founder and Executive Director of JAMaROO Kids (formally known as Discovering the Joy of Dance) decided to combine her knowledge of Child Development with her passion for dancing, music, and teaching in order to create an introduction to creative movement and dance classes for preschool-aged children. In 2004, she left her position at ABC Academy Preschool as Head Teacher to expand this program and teach dance classes full time. She developed music classes in addition to her dance program. realizing there was a need for more enrichment teachers and quality enrichment programs in the Bay Area. In 2006, Jamaica developed JAMaROO Kids to address this need. Jamaica currently leads a team of educators that specialize in creating and teaching developmentally appropriate enrichment programs for young children.
