The 22nd March 1966 ushered in a new era in Taekwon-Do with the establishment of the I.T.F. which developed so rapidly that today we have a global community of over 60+ million practitioners across five continents. As our beloved art continues to move into the 21st century, today we continue to honour the strong, founding principles of moral culture and achievements of philosophy from which Taekwon-Do was cast. The very essence of I.T.F. continues to develop in the encouragement of self-confidence and morality through physical and psychological strength. We look forward with determination in remaining true to Gen. Choi Hong His teachings and his last words as we strive to build I.T.F. Taekwon-Do into a continued global force for common brotherhood. The vision and mission of the International Taekwon-Do Federation is to grow Taekwon-Do globally and to improve the proficiency and technical skills of all Taekwon-Do practitioners.
