Imbellus builds simulation-based cognitive assessments to evaluate how people think, instead of what they know, for use by employers and the education system. Eventually, well replace standardized tests like the SAT, ACT, SAT Subject Tests, and AP exams. Imbellus is a team of Learning Scientists, Game Developers, Data Scientists, and AI Engineers backed by Owl Ventures, Thrive Capital, and Upfront Ventures. Were designing immersive simulation-based assessments that evaluate skills becoming more critical in the changing world of work -- skills like problem-solving, inquiry, analysis, and imagination -- through a theoretically grounded and data-driven process.
