The Institute for Climate Protection, Energy and Mobility (IKEM) is a non-profit think tank that explores energy-transition pathways towards a sustainable society, focussing on the interactions between the legal, economic, and political framework behind Germanys Energiewende. At IKEM more than 50 scientists work together under the scientific direction of Prof. Dr. Michael Rodi. IKEM is a public charity and affiliated with the University of Greifswald. Since 2017, the Institute has held Special Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council
