Hillos GmbH

Hillos GmbH was established in 2003 as a development and manufacturing partnership between Jenoptik and Hilti, developing laser measuring devices and positioning equipment for the construction industry. In 2023, Hilti reached an agreement with Jenoptik to take complete ownership of Hillos. This allowed us to serve as a competence center for highly innovative measuring tools, such as line lasers, total stations and 3D scanners. Our existing Plant and Global Competence Center, based in Jena, Thuringia (Deutschland), employs over 100 team members. Highly trained in production engineering and equipment manufacturing, these dedicated professionals assemble, test, and calibrate some of the most precise and easy-to-use tools, which are used on jobsites around the world. We have a strong commitment to quality and are ISO 9001 certificated. Hillos will relocate to a new state-of-the-art facility, still in Jena, in 2025.
