Healthworks Rehab & Fitness

HealthWorks Rehab & Fitness is primarily owned by West Virginia University Hospitals, Mon Health System, and John C. Spiker. HealthWorks Rehab & Fitness was founded in 1979 in Morgantown, WV as Morgantown Physical Therapy Associates (MPTA) by John C. Spiker and Sam Kegerreis. Sam moved on to new endeavors in 1980 and John persisted in his pursuit to provide quality therapy services to the surrounding communities. MPTA grew in numbers over the next ten years which necessitated four location moves in the Morgantown area and the hiring of many more outstanding clinicians. Programs were founded upon a sports medicine approach to musculoskeletal injuries with emphasis on a functional return to activity as soon as possible.
