Haworth Scouring

Haworth Scouring was founded in 1966 in Haworth, UK. In 1998, Haworth Scouring moved 14 miles to its current location today on a purpose built 8 acre site in the heart of the textile industry in the UK. Haworth scouring is one of the largest capacity duel set wool scours in the world. The two sets can scour up to 1,000 tonnes per week and can scour wool comfortably at a rate of 3.5 tonnes per hour. In addition to this high technology scouring process, the site also features a state of the art effluent treatment plant. In 2002, Curtis Wool Direct purchased a 50% shareholding in Haworth Scouring and Haworth Combing companies and six years later acquired the remaining 50% to take full ownership of both companies. One year later in 2009, Curtis Wool Direct acquired Enco Global testing.
