Hans Bakery was founded by German immigrants, Hans and Traudy Birkner in the mid 70s. After nearly 25 years of building a successful neighborhood icon Hans passed away and the bakery changed hands, eventually falling into foreclosure. In 2014, with the help of a long time friend and investor, Kelly Olsen resurrected the bakery as a tribute to her late husband and a message to the community on how important it is to slow down and spend time with the people you love...even if its just a quick stop for coffee and donuts
