HandsOn San Diego creates opportunities for community members to volunteer and lead within their communities by connecting them with the organizations that need their help. As of 2013, HandsOn San Diego has recruited close to 50,000 volunteers, completed 5,313 projects, and completed 126,464 community service hours serving 259 schools, parks, and nonprofits. Volunteers can easily find volunteer opportunities that are close to home, work for their schedule, and align with their passions. These opportunities range from promoting food security to taking climate action to caring for animals.
