Haldia Energy Limited (HEL), a fully integrated power utility of the flagship RP-SG group of companies, has developed a 2 X 300 MW coal based thermal power plant at Haldia, East Medinipur, and West Bengal, India. The project was conceived to bridge the gap between the demand and supply of power in the CESC system to make it self-sufficient to ensure un-interrupted power to the city of Kolkata and its suburbs.
