Gubkin University

Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas (National Research University) was founded on 17 April 1930 by academician Ivan Gubkin. Today Gubkin University is the leading university in Russia in oil and gas sphere. Since 2008, a rector of Gubkin University is D.Sc., Professor Victor G. Martynov. The University provides undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate programs, and employer-sponsored training . There are more than 250 additional professional education programs, 19 bachelor, 11 master and 3 specialist degree programs. Additionally, there are 17 postgraduate training programs for teaching staff. 6 educational graduate programs are implemented in collaboration with foreign universities. The total number of students including branches is more than 10,000 people. About 60% of the students are trained and supported from the federal budget.
