Great Sankey High School

Great Sankey is an outstanding school. We are extremely popular and oversubscribed. The school has nearly 2000 students from 11 18 years of age. We are one of top 100 non selective schools in the country. Our staff are dedicated to delivering an ever-changing curriculum in a vibrant and exciting way. Our young people are focused, determined and motivated to do the best they can do. Our school is proud of its reputation as one of the best schools in the country but governors, staff and students are not complacent. We are determined to remain at the cutting edge of education. In January the school became an outstanding converter academy and we are excited at what our future holds in the new growing academy family. In 2012/ 2013 we had a tremendous year! Barrow Hall College, our sixth form, has achieved its best ever A level results 100% 1+ A* E and 52% 3+ A* C.
