Great Plains Auto Body

We have come a long way since the night Bruce and Joyce sat down around the table with their kids to think of a name for this shop, but family is still at the heart of our operation. Bruce and Joyce Hansen founded Great Plains Auto Body in November 1988 as a family owned and operated auto body repair shop. We first opened our doors in Omaha, Nebraska in a 5000 sq. ft. leased facility at 78th and F street. In 1992, 2500 sq. ft. were added. In 1996, we purchased the 17,000 sq. ft. building and 3 and 1/2 acres of land, which serves as our current location. The growth did not stop there. In 2000, we underwent a major addition to the repair facilities (12,000 sq. ft.) and an extensive remodel to the administrative offices. Along the way, we have found excellent employees who believe in the service we want to provide. In 2007 we opened a second location in the Lake Manawa area of Council Bluffs, Iowa.
