Grammangal was founded in 1982 to provide holistic education to the rural and tribal children of Palghar and Dahanu Talukas of Thane District. From a modest beginning in 1982 with a small school to provide holistic and meaningful education to tribal children in Dabhon village in Dahanu Taluka, Grammangal has developed and implemented teaching-learning methodologies that are strongly grounded in well-established principles of Cognitive Science, Child Development and Learning.
