Grameen Communications

Grameen Communications (GC) is a social business aimed at providing affordable software services. Established in 1997, GC provides IT services related to loan and savings operations, as well as other social works. GC is currently affiliated with over 200 Micro-Finance Institutes (MFI). GC has a subsidiary called Global Communications Center (GCC), which provides healthcare and database facilities to the rural poor. Its products and services include micro-banking software, hardware, Internet Service Provider (ISP) services, and an IT training wing. Its micro-banking softwares, gBanker+ and gBanker 5, are used both inside Bangladesh and abroad in more than 200 Micro-Finance Institutes (MFI), Grameen Bank (GB), and social projects in seven different countries. GC also provides software solutions for healthcare, education, and enterprise resource planning.
