Gasket and Shim Industries Pty (Ltd)

Gasket & Shim Industries (Pty) Ltd. was founded in January 1995 in Cape Town when it was perceived that there was a need for a specialist supplier of gaskets, shims, and seals for local industry. From humble beginnings, with only 3 family members as staff and a factory of 171 sqm the company currently employs 46 people and operates from a factory of 1500m2 in Montague Gardens, Cape Town. The company has customers in several industries including Nuclear Power, Hydroelectric Power, High Voltage Distribution, Aerospace (Aircraft, Satellite and Avionic systems), Electronics, Automotive, Food Seals, and Agri-processing. About 40% of the companys products are exported indirectly (included with customers products). The company has direct exports to Namibia, Malawi, Zimbabwe, DRC, China, India, Poland, Mexico the USA, and Saudi Arabia and these are about 2% of its production. We keep our customers production lines running and our sub-components add features and utility to the end product
