In Brazilian Higher Education landscape, the Support Foundations are institutions created with the purpose of supporting education, research, and outreach as well as institutional, scientific and technological development projects of interest to the higher education institutions. The FUNTEF-PR (Fundacao de Apoio A Educacao, Pesquisa e Desenvolvimento Cientifico e Tecnologico Da UTFPR) - Support Foundation of Education, Research and Technological and Scientific Development of the UTFPR - is an institution recognized by the Brazilian Ministry of Education (MEC) and the Ministry of Science and Technology (MCT) as a foundation to support the Federal University of Technology - Parana (UTFPR).
