Frog and Bucket Comedy Club

The longest running comedy club out of London was established in February 1994. Opened by David Perkin, originally on Newton Street Manchester, now ran by his daughter Jessica Toomey in its home of the last 2- years on Oldham Street in the vibrant Northern Quarter. The Frog and Bucket is most famous for its Beat The Frog, amateur act competition. Which over the years has discovered talent such as John Bishop, Peter Kay, Johnny Vegas and Jason Manford. The intimate cosy venue has been the first gig for so many of the Norths comics and the history is felt in the venue that adds to the character and atmosphere.
