Forklift Danceworks

Forklift Danceworks creates dances with people that dont consider themselves dancers. Through collaborations with over 25 different communities so farincluding utility lineworkers, warehouse employees, and city pool/aquatics workers--Forklift dances show the skilled movement and tell the often unheard stories of the people whose work sustains our daily lives. Forklift collaborates with community members to co-author and perform in large-scale civic spectacles. Ultimately, Forklift Danceworks creates opportunities for civic change, deepens understanding of the jobs essential to urban life, and fosters connections between citizens and across communities.
