Foresight Opticals began by a professional Mr Yogesh Samat in 2007 as a step towards formalizing the unorganized and fragmented eyewear business. Foresight Opticals has become amongst the largest independent optician chain store businesses in India with 18 locations in 8 cities in India and came to dominate as opticians in the shopping mall space, especially in Western & Southern India. Foresight also launched several private label brands such as Quantum, Lexicon, Moda etc in their journey towards being an astute mix of private and public label brand offerings. Foresight also established a strong online business with key horizontal players in the online space including Snapdeal, Flipkart, Amazon etc. In late 2015, the ownership of this business changed hands to Hollywood Optician, another large regional player in Western India.
