Fokker Services Asia traces its origin back to 1997 when it started operations in a two-bay hangar originally built by the British Royal Air Force in 1931 at Seletar Air Base in Singapore. With EASA approval from the start, FSAs capabilities at that time were primarily focused on the Fokker types, and the F28 in particular. The customer base was made up of operators from Indonesia, Myanmar (Burma), and Papua New Guinea. At the same time, FSA also gained experience with the ATR aircraft due to carrying out checks jointly with Bangkok Airways on their ATR fleet. This culminated in FSA formally including the ATR 42/72 series in its EASA approval in 2001. FSAs workforce has a mix of youth and experience. Over half of our engineers have been with us almost since FSAs inception, some with over 15 years of experience on type.
