EU Representation Austrian Federal Economic Chamber

The Office of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber at the Permanent Representation of Austria to the EU was founded in 1989. As a co-initiator of the Austrian accession process, the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber (WKO) has always attached priority to European integration and actively pursued it. This has not changed since Austrias accession in 1995. In July 2019, the EU Office of the Austrian Economic Chamber was upgraded as the EU representation in order to optimally represent the entire Economic Chamber organisation on the EU-level. The EU representation of the WKOE is part of the diplomatic representation, which considerably facilitates our work with the EU institutions.
