The Erongo Medical Group (Pty) Ltd is a Walvis Bay based company that owns Welwitschia Hospital and has an interest in a number of other health care entities. Welwitschia Hospital is a 50 bed General Hospital catering to the needs of the community of Walvis Bay and the surrounding area. The Hospital deals with general, surgical, medical, maternity and paediatric patients as well as having a 24 hour emergency department manned by Registered Nurses. A Doctor is on call and readily available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The Hospital aspires to be a premier specialist-driven healthcare provider supported by and experienced local community of General Practitioners. We additionally host an immunization clinic and pharmacy. Ancillary services on site include dentists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, biokineticists, medical aid companies, a pharmaceutical wholesaler, an optometrist and veterinary services.
