Economics Career Alliance (ECA) | The University of Dhaka

With the motto Overcoming Barriers, Building Careers, the ultimate target of ECA from the inauguration has been to better prepare the young and talented minds of the economics department to excel in the professional life. The vision of ECA is to empower students with knowledge and skills in order to develop them as sophisticated intellectuals, competent leaders, thus enabling them to reach the pinnacle of their chosen field. With these views in mind, ECA tries to organize workshops focused on professional development of economics majors of the University of Dhaka. Early this year, ECA organized the largest career festival for economists in the history of department of economics, the University of Dhaka. The festival is crucial in the sense that, in Bangladesh, this is the only dedicated career festival for the budding economists. ECA prides itself for being the pioneer in this field.
