As an association of independent welfare services, a national aid society and with an independend youth chapter, the Freiburg chapter and all its branches are part of the national and international Red Cross and Red Crescant movement. Our area of activity extends beyond the city of Freiburg and across the entire Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald district in the southern Black Forest in the southwest of Germany
