DIWI Makedonija dooel had been established as a daughter company of DIWI Germany GmbH as a member of DIWI Organization of companies. The establishment of the operations in Macedonia back in 1998 is a result of the acknowledgement of the business opportunities for the civil engineering sector due to the rapid development of the country and the region in preparation of their integration into the larger European Community. Following the restructuring of DIWI Germany, since 2016 DIWI Makedonija DOO operates under new private ownership independent from DIWI Germany GmbH but still maintaining close ties with the rest of the DIWI companies worldwide.
