While the IoT industry segment has been several years in the making, most solutions exist in a siloed manner where solution vendors have focused device and devices communication with their application. IoT solution typically have device, connectivity and application with possibility of different combinations and policy constraints for a given deployment. The legacy IT systems solution for vendors and those of their distributors are rigid and cannot accommodate complexities of IoT solutions or configuration rules. Orders processed through legacy systems often lead to failed installation, unnecessary truck roll and/or poor customer experience.
