About Us

Destination Crenshaw (DC) is a shovel-ready, public/private cultural infrastructure and workforce development project created to dramatically repair, revitalize, and sustain the Crenshaw Corridor, the most iconic Black Business corridor in LA in the heart of the largest Black community on the West Coast. An African American-led project on a self-determined site, DC was created to feature the Black artists of LA and to create new physical monuments to illuminate the historic contributions and continued strength of Black LA. Explicitly cited as one of the Five-Year Implementation Plan Actions recommended by the City of Los Angeles Citywide Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (LACEDS), DC will spark corridor revitalization, stabilization, and creation of a job-producing hub for culture and entertainment.
