Daeyang Luke Hospital

Daeyang Luke Hospital is a 300-bed hospital located in Lilongwe district in Central region of Malawi. The hospital serves an immediate rural population of about 100,000 people, but receives referral cases coming from much further away districts. Daeyang Luke Hospital first opened its doors to the public on the 25 February 2008 and registered 346 out patients attendance on the first day. Since its opening the hospital services have expanded very fast to include most of the major departments expected at a hospital of its size. Currently the following departments are operational Outpatients, Children and adult inpatients, 24 hours accident and emergency, maternity, Under five clinic, antenatal clinic, operating theatres, surgical ward, Laboratory, radiology departments. The Daeyang Luke Hospital is a member of the Christian Health Association of Malawi and has a government allocated catchment area to which it is responsible for providing health services.
