Director of SW Engineering: An early stage startup developing a Web2.0 service (SaaS) in the health care sector. The server platform is based on Ruby on Rails, using Apache (front end web server), MySQL (Database) on Linux. Adobe Flex Builder is used for developing customer facing UI (both AIR & SWF). Designed the architecture for the next generation of the service for being highly scalable and fault tolerant. Hands-on software development in Ruby on Rails, JavaScript & Adobe Flex: Designed and developed a feature that would email a user his/her user id & password (when they forgot his/her user login/password). Designed & implemented a frame work for adding on-line services such as playing games, weather reports, and other services. Using this new infrastructure; added 4 interactive games & 3 additional services including a News feed reader, an mp3 player, and YouTube player.
