Coconut Cultivation Board

Assistant services for supplying inputs for development of coconut lands is a main development program conducted by coconut cultivation board. Coconut seedlings are provided free of charge (up to five acres) under the new planting and replanting subsidy. The seedlings are produced by 38 CCB Coconut Seedling Nurseries and 12 Coconut Model Garden Nurseries situated island wide. The coconut growers can obtain seedlings form the CCB Nurseries close to the land by inquiring the availability from Estate and Nursery Development Division. Fertilizer is provided under the governments general fertilizer subsidy. Depending on availability CCB provide fertilizer to coconut growers at subsidized price trough its stores in regional offices. A program has initiated by Estate and Nursery Development Division of CCB to provide quality intercrop planting materials to coconut land holders who anticipate growing intercrops in coconut lands.
