The fire department is an all-hazards fire and emergency medical service (EMS) department operating from three fire stations positioned along the Calhoun Road corridor. The department operates two fire engines, one ladder truck, three paramedic ambulances and a command vehicle staffed with an operational deputy chief. The department has 58 sworn responders who provide emergency operations, fire prevention, hazardous material response, public education and technical rescue.
