CHANNELVIEW ISD

The Channelview Independent School District is a rapidly growing school district with 9,500 students. The mission of CISD is to provide an educational program which will develop and enhance our students intellectual, social, emotional and physical growth in order to encourage them to become creative, responsible, patriotic contributing members of society. Inherent within this mission is the belief that all students can learn, and that school can make a difference in the lives of its students. Channelview ISD is a 6A school district located in an unincorporated area situated on the Houston Ship Channel approximately 15 miles east of downtown Houston. The district has eleven campuses, an administration building, fairgrounds, maintenance headquarters and a transportation facility.
