CEPREMAP

CEPREMAP is a research centre born in 1967 of the fusion of the CEPREL and the CERMAP. Both centers were founded in 1961 by Mr Pierre Masse, French Plan Commissioner, in order to shed light upon French planning as a result of economic research. Since January 1st 2005, CEPREMAP is the CEntre Pour la Recherche EconoMique et ses APplications (Center for economic research and its applications). Its placed under the aegis of the Ministry of Research. CEPREMAPs mission is to provide an interface between economic research and public administration. It is an agency which provides economic research for the benefit of decision-makers, and at the same time a financing agency for projects which are known to play an important role in making public policy.
