Cardinal Formula Racing

Cardinal Formula Racing (CFR), a faculty-led student racing team, stands out as one of the best undergraduate Formula SAE teams globally. Engaged in the Formula SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) Collegiate Design Series (CDS) competitions, CFR is committed to the conception, design, construction, and racing of small Indy-style racecars. Renowned for our excellence, CFR proudly competes in the Formula SAE, recognized as the most prestigious student design competition on a global scale. Within Cardinal Formula Racing, students gain invaluable hands-on learning experiences inside and outside the classroom. Participants take on the complete process of building a race car, culminating in the intense competition of the Formula SAE Collegiate Competition Series held in May.
