Bruin Manufacturing Company: Pioneers in Precision Plastic Injection Molding Since 1949 Founded in 1949 by Clair and Dale Devick in Marshalltown, Iowa, Bruin Manufacturing Company began as a small job shop with three die-cast machines. By 1958, Bruin innovated the plastic injection molding industry with its first manually operated plastic injection molding machine, made from salvaged parts. This early innovation was followed by introducing an automatic molding machine in 1965, marking a significant milestone in the companys development. From the 1970s through the 1990s, Bruin Manufacturing Company expanded its machine range, acquiring equipment with clamping capacities of 25 to 50 tons. Embracing the philosophy that simplicity is the ultimate sophistication, Bruin focused on horizontal clamping and vertical injection techniques to enhance operational efficiency.
