Boston Opera Collaborative

Boston Opera Collaborative is a company managed by its vibrant artists, dedicated to cultivating exceptional performance opportunities beyond higher education and to producing dynamic opera that engages Boston audiences. Boston Opera Collaborative was founded in 2005 by Brooke Larimer, Katie Drexel, and Markus Hauck. All three artists sought to create a company that would provide the necessary performing experience for operatic artists seeking a professional career after completing post-graduate studies. Thus, BOC was formed to give these artists opportunities to perform leading and supporting operatic roles, as well as to continue developing all aspects of their growth as a performer. Since its inaugural performance, BOC has presented seventeen fully-staged productions as well as numerous concerts, scene programs, and recitals; giving performance opportunities to over 150 young artists in the greater Boston area.
