Bogazici University Photography Club

BUFOK, a well-established club that dates back to 1929 as the Robert College Photography Club, took its current name in 1972. BUFOK has made its voice heard frequently in Turkey with its works, and has contained many famous photographers such as Nuri Bilge Ceylan, Ali Taskran, Laleper Aytek and Orhan Cem Cetin. BUFOK has gained reputation in photography communities due to being the first university photography club in Turkey. BUFOK was successful by distributing its Genis Ac (Wide Angle) photo magazine publications throughout the country which started to be published in 1996. By publishing 50 issues, the magazine successfully filled the gap in the publishing of photography magazines in our country and raised its quality. BUFOK helps its members to step into photography with basic photography, camera and darkroom trainings consisting of 3 courses. BUFOK continues the education process in both semesters throughout the academic year
