Belun

NGO Belun was founded in 2004, the organization focuses on conflict resolution and prevention, community capacity development and research. Over the last decade, Belun has been working in all the 13 Municipalities in Timor-Leste and has conducted a variety of Projects, Programs and Research interventions aimed at engaging local communities in the consolidation of peace and in the advancement of sustainable and inclusive development in Timor-Leste. As part of its mandate, Belun has been engaging with youth and women in both rural and urban areas in capacity building activities and researches on a variety of topics ranging from, but not limited to, conflict transformation, gender, civic education and employability. Beluns interventions are designed and implemented together with Local Authorities such Administrators, Village Chiefs and Village Councils members, youth and women leaders.
