Batley Grammar School

Batley Grammar School (BGS) is a state-funded co-educational free school in Batley, West Yorkshire, for young people aged 4 to 16. We aim to identify, encourage and develop the talents and qualities of each student to their full potential and help to prepare them for adult life as confident, independent and respectful members of a caring multicultural society. Each individual is encouraged to make a purposeful contribution to our strong learning community, both in the classroom and in a comprehensive range of extracurricular activities. While we are proud of our 400-year history, we have also evolved to provide an education fit for today.
