BASSETLAW ACTION CENTRE

Established in 1996, the Bassetlaw Action Centre has evolved significantly from its origins. Today, it stands as a cornerstone in Nottinghamshire, employing over 30 staff and mobilising over 80 volunteers throughout Nottinghamshire to deliver services aimed at enhancing the independence and well-being of the older people and people at risk. Bassetlaw Action Centres operations span across various domains, including support for long-term conditions, housing assistance, home support, befriending, and several transportation solutions which help to mitigate isolation among older residents. With a history of robust support from local organisations and councils, such as Bassetlaw Placed Based Partnership, The National Lottery, Bassetlaw District Council, and Nottinghamshire County Council, the organisation has grown into a multifaceted service delivery entity, deeply integrated within the community.
